The wedding took place in the Church of Christ, Smithville, on June 2, of Helen Faye Elizabeth, daughter of Mrs. Luella McLeod, Grassie, and Willis Malcolm Moffat, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorris Moffat, Grassie. Mr. G. Johnson officiated.
Given away by her brother, Mr. Leon McLeod, Grassie, the bride wore a white satin gown with train, and her long veil was held in place with a pearl headdress. She carried pink roses and lilies of the valley.
The attendants were: Miss Ruth McLeod, of Portland, Oregon, sister of the bride, dressed in dusty rose organza and carrying deep rose carnations and lilies of the valley; Mrs. Alan Halliday, of King-Come Inlet, B.C., sister of the bride, in mauve with pink carnations and lilies of the valley, and Mrs. Roy Moffat, Mount Hope, sister-in-law of the groom, in pale blue with red carnations and lilies of the valley. Little Kathryn Johnson, Stoney Creek, was flower girl, dressed in pink flowered organdy and carrying a nosegay.
Mr. Ray Moffat, Mount Hope, was his brother's best man, and Mr. Gordon Milmine, Grassie, and Mr. Charles Perry, Vineland, ushered. Miss Jean Williams was soloist.
The reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Duff, of Burlington. The bride's mother received in blue and grey costume, while the groom's mother wore a grey flowered dress.
For going away the bride was in a light brown suit costume with accents in green and brown. The couple will live in Grassie.
