Benjamin Abbott Leighfield, 51, died suddenly Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital. He lived at 38 Stinson Street, Hamilton.

Born in Port Rowan, he was a resident of Hamilton for the last 22 years, working as a landscape gardener for 20 years. He was a member of St. Andrew's Lodge, No. 593, A.F. & A.M.

Surviving are his wife, the former Luella Thompson; two daughters, Mrs. Lionel (Doris) Lymburner, Grimsby; and Miss Betty, at home; one sister, Mrs. Harry (Bertha) Culver, Simcoe; and one grandson, Douglas Lymburner.
