Wallace Dickson, retired civil engineer, who had been on the engineering staff of the City of Montreal for 33 years, died at his home in Grimsby Thursday, following a lingering illness.

Born in Montreal, he was a graduate of the Metallurgical and Civil Engineering Faculties of McGill University. In younger days he was a noted athlete and the winner of many trophies. He was a member of Carnarvon Chapter No. 5, R.A.M., G.R.O.

Following his retirement from active work, he took up residence in Grimsby three and one-half years ago.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother and two sisters, all in Montreal.

The body rested at the Stonehouse Funeral Home where funeral service was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
