Miss Florence Laing, of Toronto, and formerly of Grimsby, died at her home early on Monday.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Laing, she was born in Grimsby in January 1911, and attended Grimsby High and Public schools. She was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Grimsby, and was very active in all church organizations. She promoted one of the Grimsby Blossom Time Festivals and was well known in radio and amateur theatrical work.

During World War II, she held an important government appointment. She was a member of the Quota Club, of Toronto.

Surviving, besides her parents, is a brother, Jack Laing, of Burlington.

The body rested at the Newbigging-Brown Funeral Home, 733 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, where service was held at 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, a 3 o'clock service was held at the Stonehouse Funeral Home, Grimsby, and was followed by burial in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
