(Newark, N.J. News) The marriage of Miss Frances Rosalie VanDyke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Theron VanDyke, of 58 Fuller Ave., Chatham, N.J., and Thornton Benson Morris, of 1239 Watchung Ave., Plainfield, N.J., took place yesterday in Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church in this city. Rev. C.I. Lecrone performed the ceremony. There was a reception in the church parlours.
Mrs. Neil Blair was matron of honour for the bride. Bridesmaids were the Misses Hicks, Dale Pridham, Janet Morris, the bridegroom's sister, and Mrs. Edward F. Heller. Judy Flynn was flower girl. Morris Gamble served as best man. Ushers were Jack Handley, William Morgan, Jr., Clyde Zukswert and Havelock Jewson. Soloists were Mr. and Mrs. N. Blair.
The bride's gown was designed with a chantilly lace bodice with Peter Pan collar and full skirt of white nylon marquisette. Her chantilly lace crown held a full-length illusion veil. She carried white lilacs and stephanotis.
Mrs. Morris was graduated from Beaver College and is a teacher in Summit, N.J. An alumnus of Williston Academy, Mr. Morris is attending Princeton University. A member of the Navy Reserve, he will be recalled to duty in June. The couple left for a Bermuda honeymoon.
The bride's father was a former Grimsby resident and her mother was from Beamsville.
