Thomas A. Smith, age 81, who resided with his daughter at 31 Burlington Avenue, Burlington, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Tuesday morning.

Born in Hamilton, Mr. Smith resided in Smithville before going to live in Burlington 40 years ago.

Surviving him are 5 sons, Gordon and Douglas of Toronto, Arthur of Welland, William and George of Burlington; four daughters, Mrs. Stanley Henderson (Mabel) of Toronto, Mrs. Harris Kirkpatrick (Grace) of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Mrs. Lloyd Utter (Eva) and Mrs. Bruce Colton (Ruth) of Burlington. He also leaves one brother, Ernest, and four sisters, Mrs. J. Wrong of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Mrs. John Hunter of Port Credit, Mrs. Neil Leckie of Grimsby, Mrs. Harry Cowan of Hamilton, and 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
