Margaret Lavina Peaire, wife of Edwin Wingfield, of R.R. No. 2, Grimsby, died at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 4th, after a brief illness.

She was born 55 years ago in South Grimsby, a daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Galagher) Peaire. Living most of her life in Hamilton, she returned to South Grimsby in 1935, residing there until moving to Grimsby 4 years ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Newell and Lloyd at home; also two brothers and one sister in Hamilton.

The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from the Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, with the Rev. J.S. Boyle officiating. The casket bearers were Messrs. Walter Almond, Martin Taylor, Jacob Fisher, John Richards, Joseph Penrose and Ora Ellis. Interment was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
