The death occurred suddenly at his home in Cleveland, Ohio, Tuesday morning, of Arthur Smith, a former resident of Grimsby.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Vera Luey of Grimsby; three daughters, Mrs. A. LePage, Grimsby, Mrs. Frank Book, St. Catharines, and Mrs. John Krause, Cleveland. His wife predeceased him in 1931.

Born in Harriston, Ontario deceased came to Grimsby when he was a young boy, and later worked here as a painter and decorator. Shortly after World War I he moved to Cleveland and resided there until his sudden passing. He was in his 62nd year.

Funeral arrangements were not immediately made available.
