A prominent and active resident of Caistor township for the past 82 years, in the person of John Young, passed away Monday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G.W.Nicholls, Caistor. The deceased was a successful farmer and as a conservative was prominent in political affairs. He was reeve for 6 years, as well as being honorary president of the Caistor Ploughing Association.

Surviving are 3 sons, Stanley and Wallace of Caistor township and Walter of South Grimsby; two daughters, Mrs. James Warner and Mrs. G.W. Nicholls of Caistor.
