Mrs. Charles H. Bechtel (nee Kate Black), passed away at the Toronto General Hospital on Wednesday morning following a lingering illness. She was a daughter-in-law of Mrs. Anna Bechtel and sister-in-law of Mrs. C.S.Bean of Grimsby.

Possessed of a bright and sunny disposition, she was held in high regard by her friends by whom she will be greatly missed. Prior to her marriage she was a member of the nursing profession and attended the late Pauline Johnson, well-known Canadian poetess, during her last illness.

Interment will take place in the Blair cemetery on Friday afternoon. She is survived by her husband and a number of sisters.
