'Way Back When by Frank Fairborn, Jr. - On November 5th, 1912, John W. Chambers, better known to his many friends as "Jack", was accidentally killed while working as a millwright at Grand Forks, B.C. The sad news was conveyed to his family in Grimsby by telegram, by another old Grimsby boy, A.F. (Gus) Michener. How many remember "Gus"? He was a painter by trade and left here in 1898 or '99. Wilfred Haist took over his business.
