The wedding took place in St. Stephen's Rectory, Hamilton, on November 4th, of Helen Gizella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kovach, and Richard Gordon Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Mitchell, of Grimsby. The Rev. M. Hajos officiated.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an all-white satin gown, with a long train, the neckline being fashioned in mandarin style. Her Juliet cap was held by a fingertip-length veil and she carried orchids, baby white chrysanthemums and bouvardia.
Attending her were Miss Margaret Kovach, who was gowned in gold satin and carried misty rose chrysanthemums; and Misses Helen Dobos and Isabel Eszes, both in misty rose satin gowns and their bouquets were of bronze-toned chrysanthemums. Their braided headdresses matched their gowns.
Mr. Leslie Kovach was best man. Ushers were Messrs. Charles Detro and Thomas Seaton.
The reception followed in the Parish Hall, about 150 guests being present.
Going away the bride was in a copper shade suit with chocolate brown hat and accessories and corsage of orchids.
After their wedding trip to Rochester, the bride and groom will live on Dundurn Street South.
