Harry Nickerson, retired farmer, died Friday at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, following an illness of two weeks.

In his 86th year, Mr. Nickerson was born in Lincolnshire, England, and came to this country in 1883. He farmed in Stamford Township until 10 years ago, when he retired and went to South Grimsby to live. His wife, the former Elizabeth Ann Winterton, died in 1942.

Mr. Nickerson leaves three sons, William, of South Grimsby; and David and Arthur, North Grimsby; four daughters, Mrs. Catharine McGinty, Mrs. Rose Whiteman and Mrs. Harriet Drake, all of Hamilton, and Mrs. Emily Smye, of Grimsby; also 18 grandchildren.

Service was held at the Book Funeral Home, Smithville, Monday, at 2 p.m., with interment following in Queen's Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby.
