In St. George's Church, Tapleytown, Saturday afternoon, Margaret Louise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Horning, Vinemount, was united in marriage to Gordon Francis Hildreth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hildreth, also of Vinemount.
The Rev. Canon J.F. Carson officiated; Miss Ethel McConnell, of Winchester, presided at the organ, and Mr. George McConnell was the soloist.
A reception followed at Mundy's Tearoom.
The bride, given away by her father, was gowned in blush satin, a matching bonnet headdress holding her fingertip-length veil in place. She carried baby cream chrysanthemums and Joanna Hill roses. Miss Jean Horning, in bronze taffeta, with bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums, and Misses Betty and Illa Horning, in green taffeta, with bronze chrysanthemums, attended the bride. Mr. George Hildreth, Vinemount, was best man, while those who ushered were Mr. James Horning, Vinemount, and Mr. Murray Tweedle, Stoney Creek.
For going away afterward, the bride wore a coral shade suit with navy hat, coat and accessories, and her corsage was of yellow flowers.
After a wedding trip the couple will live in Hamilton.
