An estimable lady of Grimsby passed away at her home, 36 St. Andrew's Avenue, early on Wednesday morning, in the person of Meda Luella Duffield, widow of the late Percy E. Wilkins, in her 73rd year.
Deceased lady had been failing in health for some time. Her husband predeceased her just one month ago.
Mrs. Wilkins was born in Markham Township and came to Grimsby to reside 28 years ago. She was a member of Trinity United Church and had been very active in the women's organizations of the Trinity church and other organizations of the town.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Cawood, Toronto, and Miss Dora, at home. Two brothers, R.J. Duffield, of Unionville and W.H. Duffield, of Rochester, N.Y. Three sisters, Mrs. Ida Blizzard, Hespeler; Mrs. H.G. Dunne, of Vancouver, B.C.; and Mrs. Alex Silverthorne, Los Angeles, Cal.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Stonehouse Funeral Home by Rev. R.K. Lemkay, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
