In Fifty United Church, Winona, on Saturday afternoon, August 26th, the wedding took place of Mary Alma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Barnard, of Winona, and Robert Bruce Nutley, Toronto, son of Mr. H.J. Nutley and the late Mrs. Nutley, Hamilton.
The Rev. C.A.Bridgman, great uncle of the bride, conducted the ceremony. Mr. George O. Smith was organist, and Mrs. Dan McLeod, Burlington, sang. A reception followed at the Village Inn, Grimsby.
The bride, wearing a blush taffeta gown, with touches of scalloping, and her veil gathered into a flowered headdress, was given in marriage by her father. She carried Esther Read Shasta daisies. Her attendants, Mrs. Richard Wingerson, Ithaca, N.Y., cousin of the bride, wore romance pink taffeta, and Miss Rosemary Nutley, the groom's sister, and Mrs. Clifford Barnard wore Bell Pink, all carrying Esther Read Shasta daisies.
Mr. James Stewart was the best man, and the ushers were Mr. Jas. Charters and Mr. Clifford Barnard, brother of the bride.
Leaving for a wedding trip to Ottawa, the bride wore a brown crepe and velvet costume with dark brown and India copper accessories. The couple will live in Toronto.
