A printer with W.S. Johnston & Co., Toronto, for 29 years, John Charles Bruce of 115 Grace st., Toronto, died suddenly Monday, July 31st at his summer home, Grimsby Beach. He would have celebrated his 76th birthday on August 4th.

Although he retired officially 10 years ago, Mr. Bruce, because of the shortage of printers, had been an employee for some time of the Mission Press Co. He had been a member of the Typographical Union for 50 years.

He leaves his wife, the former Ida Heffernan; one daughter, Mrs. W.R.MacDonald, Toronto, and a son, John Charles Bruce, Fort Erie, and a grandson.
