On the afternoon of July 23rd, the residence of John Marrs was the scene of festivity, the occasion being the marriage of Miss Daisy Lapham to Robert George McCauley, both of this place. Rev. T.W. Jackson officiated.
The following persons were present: Mrs. McCauley, Mrs. Marrs, Mrs. B. Rodgers, the Misses Sara, Mary and Lily Rodgers, Mrs. Jas. Rodgers, John Ritchie and wife, Roderick McCaskill and wife, Henry Marrs and wife, Miss Lou Walker, Miss Anna Hodge, Miss Mabel Marrs, Messrs. William and Fred McCauley, John Marrs, Masters Atherton, Charlie and Will Marrs.
The presents were numerous. A very pleasant time was spent at the house after which the happy couple departed, amidst showers of rice and good wishes, for a short wedding tour.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCauley will celebrate their Diamond wedding on Sunday, July 23rd, at their home, 206 King St. W., Beamsville, and will be at home to their friends from 3-5 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
