Leonard Laundry, father of MR. Franklin Laundry, reeve of the village of Beamsville, died Friday at his home, William Street, Beamsville, after a short illness. He was 87.

Born in Hastings County, he had been a fruit farmer in the district and at one time had operated a coal business in Beamsville.

He was a member of Ivy Lodge and Beamsville United Church.

His wife, Lillie, died in February of this year.

Besides his son, Mr. Laundry is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Glenn of Bloomfield, Ont., and Miss L. Laundry, of Beamsville.

The funeral took place on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the J.W. Buck & Son Funeral Home, Beasmville.

Interment was made in Mount Osborne Cemetery.
