An esteemed Grimsby resident for the past 14 years, in the person of Miss Eliza A. Zimmerman, passed away Thursday morning last at her home 10 Adelaide Street, following a lingering illness. The deceased, who was in her 74th year, was a native of Clinton Township and a daughter of the late James B. and Mrs. Zimmerman. She was a member of Beamsville Baptist Church.
Surviving her is one sister, Mrs. P. Bain of Cameron, Texas.
The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late residence to Mount Osborne cemetery, Beamsville, for interment, Rev. Wright of Beamsville and Rev. Harvey Merritt of Grimsby Baptist Church conducting the services.
Honorary pallbearers were Messrs. Martin Parker and Robert Kemp of Beamsville, R. Greig, George Marlow, W.H. Rumball and Mr. Briggs of Grimsby.
Active pallbearers were Dr. Charles Warner, James and George Simonds, three nephews of Toronto, William Boughner of Beamsville and Col. W.W.Johnson and Albert Dipper of Grimsby.
