Miss Barbara Ellen (Nellie) Rowe died suddenly at her home on Aberdeen avenue, Clinton township, on Wednesday afternoon, May 2nd. She was in her 69th year and had resided on the farm where she was born all her life. Deceased was a successful fruit grower, was a strong temperance enthusiast, a life-long member and officer in every branch of the work of the Baptist church and the Women's Institute. In the church especially her services were notable and her place will be hard to fill. To mourn her demise she leaves two sisters, Mrs. E.J. Amiss, of Beamsville, and Mrs. S. Jordan, of Grimsby Beach; two nieces, Miss Josie Filby and Mrs. Frank Ryckman, and one nephew, William Filby. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon to Mount Osborne cemetery. Rev. H.W. Wright officiated.
