The wedding of Miss Marion Williams Cook, formerly of Grimsby and only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stirling Cook of Edicott City, Maryland, to Mr. Joseph L. Lanlein of Washington, D.C., took place on Saturday, April 28th. The ceremony was performed at 4 o'clock, and was conducted by Rev. Stewart of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Edicott in the presence of her nearest relatives and friends.
The bride looked charming in an imported travelling suit of gold brown cloth with blouse of gold brown taffeta. She wore a knox hat, with matching shoes and carried a corsage bouquet.
After a brief honeymoon, the young couple will make their home in Washington.
The bride, who is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Cook and niece of Mr. and Mrs. George Bolt, Grimsby, resided here from childhood, until a few years ago when she, with her family, moved to the United States. She graduated from Grimsby High School and was a member of the Girls' Hockey and Basketball teams and is also a graduate of Temple college in Washington. The bridegroom attended the George Washington University and is a member of Electrolux Co., Inc. of Washington.
Her many friends in Grimsby will join in wishing her much happiness and prosperity in her married life.
