At the Kingston General Hospital, Thursday, June 8th, 1950, Alma Slade, wife of the late Edward Thornley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Slade, 50 Guise, St., Hamilton, died in her 58th year.

She leaves to mourn her loss 6 brothers, John of Grimsby; George and Reginald of Freeman; Lorne of Hamilton Beach; Thomas and Gordon of Hamilton; 3 sisters, Ruby (Mrs. William Alborough) and Betty (Mrs. Davis) of Toronto; and Alice (Mrs. William Toole) of Freeman.

The funeral was held from the Truscott Bros. Funeral Home, Barton and Birth Streets, Hamilton, on Monday, June 12th, at 1:30 p.m., with interment in Woodland Cemetery.

The pallbearers were John, Reginald, Lorne and Thomas Slade, William Toole and John Mines.
