White snapdragons and spring flowers decorated the Redeemer Lutheran Church for the wedding on Saturday afternoon, May 13, of Elsie Clara, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Erhardt, Grimsby Beach, to Archie Rudolf Weisbrod, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weisbrod, Hamilton, The Rev. Maynard Pollex officiated.
The bride, given away by her father, was gowned in ivory satin fashioned with a rounded neckline and hoop effect skirt extending into a long train, her fingertip veil gathered in a small ivory satin cap. She carried Joanna Hill roses. Her attendants wore gowns styled the same as the bride's. Miss Evelyn Erhardt, sister of the bride, as maid of honour, was in rosebud pink satin, and carried deep purple sweet peas. Miss Ruth Erhardt, sister of the bride, and Miss Catharine Weisbrod, sister of the bridegroom, were in rosebud green and carried harmonizing bouquets of light mauve sweet peas. Mr. Philip Weisbrod was best man and those ushering were Messrs. Robert Seibert and Raymond Erhardt. Mrs. Robert Hunter sang, with Mrs. Taylor at the organ.
A reception followed at the Legion Hall for 200 guests. The bride's mother received in a rose shade dress with navy accessories and her corsage was of Sweetheart roses and mauve sweet peas, while the groom's mother was in green with beige accessories, her corsage being of Talisman roses. Leaving by motor for St. Paul, Minn., the bride went away in a cocoa brown suit with hunter's green accessories. The couple will reside in Hamilton.
