Mrs. Augustus C. Althouse, the former Mary Ann Jacobs, died on Thursday last at the residence of her son, Edgar, at Grassie.

Born in Binbrook 86 years ago, she had lived in Grassie for the last 69 years. She was a member of the Tweedside United Church.

Surviving, besides her son, Edgar, with whom she resided, are two daughters, Mrs. Elma Hopkins, of Grassie and Mrs. Harold Stace, of Vancouver, B.C.; three brothers, David, of Grimsby; Robert, of Grassie, and George, of Dawson, Man.; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Travis and Mrs. Elmer Hildreth, both of Vinemount; also 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
