Rev. Ratke officiated at the wedding Saturday, April 22nd at 3 p.m., in Christ Lutheran Church, St. Catharines, of Mary Jane Belle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson, Grimsby, and Henry James Windecker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Windecker, Beamsville.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ice-blue satin, white juliet cap and shoulder length veil. She carried red roses.
Attending the bride were Miss Marguerite Walters, Grimsby Beach, maid of honour, wearing a deep pink taffeta gown with bustle back and matching headdress; Miss Marjorie Lawson, Windsor, and Miss Joyce Moses, Hamilton, wearing similar gowns in a lighter pink. All carried nosegays of carnations and roses.
Mr. Lloyd Lounsbury, Beamsville, was best man, while the ushers were Mr. William Johnson, brother of the bride, and Mr. Emil Windecker, brother of the groom. During the signing of the register, Miss Dorothy Manley of Vineland sang beautifully.
About 50 guests attended the reception afterwards at The Beacon, Jordan Harbour.
The bride's mother and the groom's mother received in navy costumes with accents of white, and corsages of white carnations.
Leaving for a short wedding trip, the bride wore a navy suit and corsage of carnations. The couple will reside in St. Catharines upon returning from their honeymoon.
