Mrs. Robert Hughes, a resident of Grimsby for the last 50 years, died Saturday morning at her home on 141 Ontario Street, Grimsby, after a long illness.

Born in Caistor 73 years ago, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hannigan. Mrs. Hughes was an adherent of the Anglican Church and past noble grand of Alexina Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her husband and one son, Ronald.

The funeral services were held at the Stonehouse Funeral Home, Grimsby, on Monday at 1 p.m.

Interment was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.

Rev. E.A.Brooks officiated at the services and casket bearers were George Hildreth, Roy Piett, Gordon Hilts, Willis Bartlett, William Fisher and William Alldrick.
