Mrs. Isaac Collins, of Grimsby Beach, the former Margaret Cecelia Holleran, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, following a lingering illness.
In her 59th year, she was born at Norwich, Conn. on January 7, 1892, a daughter of the late Richard Holleran and Ada Mills. A registered nurse, she had graduated from St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, Conn., and had nursed for 20 years at Niagara Falls, N.Y. She was married May 2, 1945, had lived in Grimsby, then moved to Grimsby Beach 3 months ago.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Grace Mahoney and Mrs. H. Stotts, of Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Joseph McNamara, Springfield, Mass.; Edward Holleran, of Hartford, and John Holleran, Lake Lazerne, New York.
The remains rested at the Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville. Libera service was held at St. Joseph's Church, Grimsby, on Wednesday, April 12, at 8:30 a.m.
The remains were sent from Smithville by T.H. and B. on Wednesday morning to rest at the Dillon Funeral Home, Hartford, Conn., with Requiem High Mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral there, and burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
