Mrs. Lucy A. Anderson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald Martin, Yarker, on Tuesday, March 7th, 1950, in her 87th year. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Eliza Smith, formerly of Campbellford. When the late Mrs. Anderson was a small girl, the family moved to Merlin where she lived until her marriage to the late James. B. Anderson in 1886. The resided in Guelph and Grimsby on the Ridge Road, W. for a number of years, moving to Hamilton where they resided until Mr. Anderson's death in 1938.

After the death of her late husband, she had the misfortune to break her hip and has been a partial invalid for the last 12 years, living, during this time, with her daughter at Yarker.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Donald Martin (Vera), a grandson, Francis J. Martin; a granddaughter, Lucille Martin; and one sister, Mrs. James Halliday, Rondeau Park, Ontario.
