Mrs. Eliza (Thompson) Doran, resident of Grimsby for the last 63 years, died on Sunday in her 89th year.
A daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Thompson, she was born at Winona on January 5, 1862. She had resided there before coming to Grimsby.
She was a member of Trinity United Church, and, in younger life, was active in church organizations.
Her husband, the late James Doran, pre-deceased her in 1912.
Surviving is a daughter, Miss Frances Doran, at home.
Private services were conducted at her late residence, Main East, on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. R.K. Lemkay of Trinity United Church.
Casket bearers were Emery Patterson, John Millar, Gordon Eaton, P.E. Wilkings, Russell Terry and Arthur Culp.
Interment was in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
