Full Text

The funeral of the late George William Sibbald was held on Sunday afternoon from his late residence, 38 Ontario Street, with interment in Queen's Lawn Cemetery. A large crowd of friends and relatives turned out to pay their tribute to the deceased who was in his 81st year, and had for the past 7 years been a resident of Grimsby, during which time he made many friends. During his early life he was a very active business man in Western Canada. In religion the deceased was a member of the Methodist Church for over 60 years and in politics he was a staunch Conservative.

He leaves to mourn his loss his widow and 7 children: O.G. Sibbald and A.E.Sibbald, Alberta; W.H. of Kalso, Washington; Mrs. Robert Kerr, Leamington; Mrs. F. Wilson, Indiana; Mrs. F. McIntyre, Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Temple, Toronto. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. W.J. Hunt, and the following acted as pallbearers: P.E. Wilkins, H. Gerber, J. Jewson, F. Wilcox, J. Stevens and W. Wrightmeyer.
