The death of Walter Elgin Biggar, Chief Dominion Inspector of Fruit Trees, at his home, Balsam Avenue, Hamilton, on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Mr. Biggar was widely known throughout the fruit belt and will be missed by many friends.

He was a native of Saltfleet township, having been born near Winona 68 years ago, but for many years has been acting in the capacity of inspector.

Surviving are three sons, Harry on the old homestead, Walter A., also of Fruitland, and George of Copetown; and three daughters all in Hamilton.

The funeral will take place to Fruitland United Church on Thursday, Oct. 22, leaving Hamilton at 1:30. Interment in Fruitland cemetery.
