At the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.C. Althouse, Grassie, on Friday, Dec. 5, 1924, Anne Grassie, widow of Hamilton Jacobs, passed away quietly in her 85th year. Mrs. Jacobs was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of the district, and a host of friends will mourn her passing. The deceased leaves four sons, William of Fonthill; George of Ochre River, Man.; and David and Robert of Grassie; three daughters, Mrs. A.C.Althouse, Grassie; Mrs. Elmer Hildreth, Tweedside, and Mrs. Edward Travis, Vinemount, and one brother, George Grassie of Blackheath. The funeral took place on Monday, Dec. 8, to Tweedside Cemetery.
