Mrs. Eliza Warner,of Grimsby, widow of William D. Warner, died suddenly on Monday at the home of her son, George Warner, Main street, Grimsby. Born in Taunton, Somerset, England, January 9, 1872, a daughter of the late Phillip and Eliza Burston, she was in her 79th year. She came to Canada in May, 1912, and has resided in Grimsby and district since that time. She was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church. Her late husband, William D. Warner, died 11 years ago, on February 12, 1939.
She is survived by 7 sons: William and Charles, in England; Thomas and George, of Grimsby; Sam,of St. Catharines; Arthur C., of Hamilton; Sidney E., of New York; also 5 daughters: Mrs. Edward Best, Toronto; Mrs. Geo. Robertson, Mrs. Sidney S. Clay and Mrs. Percy Mason,of Grimsby; Mrs. William Becker, of Niagara Falls, Ontario.
A private service was held from the Stonehouse Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon, followed by a public service at St. Andrew's Anglican Church. Rev. E.A.Brooks conducted the services.
Pallbearers were Kenneth, Norman, Ross and Fred Warner, Albert Mason and Jack Robertson.
Interment was made in St. Andrew's Churchyard.
