Following a short illness, Thomas Douglas, a lifelong resident of North Grimsby Township, passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 1950, in his 68th year.

Born in North Grimsby on the farm where he had lived all his life, he was a son of the late Catharine and Robert Douglas. He was a member of Smithville Presbyterian Church.

Left to mourn his passing are a brother, John Douglas, and a sister, Mrs. Jane Montgomery, both at home. The funeral service was held at the Book Funeral Home, Smithville, on Tuesday, January 24th, at 2:30 p.m., with interment in Union Cemetery, Smithville.

The service was conducted by Rev. H.J. Scott, and the pallbearers were Willis Travis, Arthur Topp, George Douglas, Robert Douglas, George Priddle and John Watts.
