St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, January 14th, when Catharine Procyshyn, daughter of Mrs. Katharina Procyshyn and the late Joseph Procyshyn of Beamsville, became the bride of Douglas Edison Dowie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dowie, Sr., of Hamilton.

The service was conducted in the English language by Rev. W. Fedak with Mr. Joseph Lessey, Jerry Fedak and Emil Fedak as readers. Master Jerry Fedak read the epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians.

The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. J. Podialuk of Vegreville, Alta. The best man was Ted Procyshyn and the bridesmaid was Catharine Chrystian of Stoney Creek.

The wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. K. Procyshyn.

The happy couple will make their home in Hamilton.
