The death occurred suddenly at Beamsville on Saturday, Aug. 30, 1924, of Harriet Cordelia, wife of Angus B. Sweet, in her 55th year. Mrs. Sweet was born in Caistor township in February 1870, daughter of Calvin and Mrs. Cosby, and since her marriage in 1887 had lived in Saltfleet, Grimsby and Clinton townships. Surviving are her husband, five sons and one daughter: Charlie in Beamsville, Isaac in Manitoba, Frank in Grimsby, Murray in Buffalo, Angus and Blanche at home. There are also her father, three sisters and a brother: Calvin Cosby of North Grimsby, Mrs. H. Tillotson of Hamilton, Mrs. James Moore of St. Catharines, Mrs. William Bowman of Grimsby Centre, and Ira Cosby of Smithville. The funeral took place on Tuesday, Sept. 2, from her late home on Ontario Street, Beamsville, to Queen's Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. G.E.Smith of Beamsville Methodist Church conducted the service.
