The death occurred at her home in Grimsby on Saturday, August 23, 1924, of Mary Grant, wife of John Cloughley, in her 69th year.
Mrs. Cloughley was born in the county of Armagh, Ireland, in 1856, was married there in 1876 and came to Canada in 1884, and to Grimsby about 30 years ago. She raised a family of 13 children of whom 9 are still living, and though widely scattered all were present at the funeral, one daughter from England arriving just one week before her death. Mrs. Cloughley had been in indifferent health for some time but had continued her household duties, and her death was rather unexpected.
Besides her husband the survivors are Mrs. P.K. Teeter, of Hamilton; Andrew of Grimsby; Mrs. E.W. Brockbank of England; John W. of Buffalo; George of Buffalo; Mrs. Roy F. Teeter of Buffalo; David of Grimsby; Frank of Hamilton; James E. of Tampa, Florida.
The funeral took place from her late home, 35 Robinson Street South, on Tuesday, August 26, to The Fifty Cemetery, the Rev. F.S. Milliken conducting the services. The 6 sons acted as pallbearers.
