One of the pioneer residents of Lincoln passed away on Thursday evening at his home in Jordan Station, when the death occurred after a lingering illness of some years of Solomon High, in his 78th year. The deceased who was a life-long resident of that village was very highly respected and esteemed by his large circle of friends. He was a bachelor, being survived by two nephews, Wesley and Roy T. High, to whom general sympathy will be extended. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from his late residence, Jordan station, to the Methodist church, thence to Oaklawn cemetery, adjoining, for interment. He was one of the veteran members of Union Lodge, No. 15, I.O.O.F., of St. Catharines.
