The death occurred on Saturday, July 12, 1924, at her home on Main street west, of Sarah Louisa Yorke, wife of George Yorke, in her 35th year. Mrs. Yorke was born in the county of Dundas, the daughter of George and Mrs. Kennedy, and was married in 1906. Three years ago the family came to Grimsby, Mr. Yorke being with the Growers Ice and Cold Storage plant. Besides her husband, she leaves seven children, Clarence, Edith, Charlie, Ethel, Wesley, Andrew and Baby William. The funeral took place on Monday, July 14, to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, the Rev. C.L. Poole officiating. The floral tributes were many, attesting the many friends the deceased had made since coming to Grimsby. The pallbearers were W.G.Adams. C. DeQuetville, A. Parsonage, W.S. Richardson, L. Tillotson and L.M. Wilcox.
