The death occurred in the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, July 3, 1924, of Clover Belle, wife of Leroy W. Norton, in her 22nd year.
Up to Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Norton had been in her usual good health, but at that time complained of severe pains in her head and suffered severely until she became unconscious during the night. On Thursday morning she was rushed to the hospital, accompanied by Dr. Buck, where other physicians were called into consultation, but their efforts were unavailing and she passed away before 3 o'clock.
Surviving are her husband, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Farrell, two brothers, Vivian S. (Bobby) Farrell of the Canadian National railways staff and Jimmy, and three sisters, Nettie O., Pearl and Arlene.
The funeral took place on Saturday, July 5, from her late home, 26 Oak Street, to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, the Rev. T.E. Richards of Grimsby Baptist church conducting the services. The pallbearers were Percy Fairbanks, William Farrell, Clifford Hughes, Stanley Patterson, Lloyd Pettit, Lloyd Yeager. The extremely large number of beautiful floral tributes testified to the popularity of and the esteem in which the deceased was held.
