The Methodist Church was the scene of another pretty but quiet wedding on Wednesday last when Laura Pickett, Ridge Road West, North Grimsby, became the bride of Rev. J.H. Wells, pastor of the Methodist Church, Welland. The ceremony was performed by the bride's uncle, Rev. Webster Pickett, Toronto, and Rev. Dr. Irwin, pastor of the church. The bride's dress was of navy blue satin. She wore a leghorn hat. The couple were unattended. After the ceremony they left by train for a short trip. Mr. and Mrs. Wells will reside at Islington, where Mr. Wells starts his new charge. The young ladies' Bible class decorated the church for the occasion with pink roses and peonies. Miss Cora Marsh played the wedding march.
