Brockville, Ont., March 21 - Harry E. Bywater, aged 57, editor and proprietor of the Athens Reporter, a weekly newspaper, is dead there after a lingering illness.

For 30 years he had been connected with the weekly newspaper press of Ontario as publisher successively of the Westport Mirror, Meaford Monitor, Arthur Enterprise and Palmerston Spectator.

Two years ago he bought the Athens Reporter.

His wife and one adopted daughter survive. Burial will be made at Trenton.

Harry E. Bywater was well known in this district, as he was editor and publisher of the Beamsville Express for several years, selling out to go to Palmerston.
