There died at his home on Hixon street, Friday evening, John Francis Holden, in his 72nd year. For nearly 20 years deceased had been identified with the advertising and traveling staff of the E.W.Gillett Co., Toronto, and had covered practically every section of Canada for the firm during his time with it. Formerly of Toronto, he came to Beamsville about 15 years ago, although he had been incapacitated for nearly 3 years by an accident. When in Edmonton he was struck by an automobile and he never recovered from the shock.

To mourn his death he leaves his widow, two sons, Oscar, of Medicine Hat, and Roy, of Beamsville, and two daughters, Mrs. Fred Armstrong, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. J.A. Sinclair. The funeral was held Monday afternoon to Mount Osborne Cemetery.
