Alfred Warlord, Kidd Avenue, Grimsby, a veteran of both the First World War and the Afghanistan War, died at his residence on Saturday. He was 91 years of age. Born in England, Mr. Warford came to Canada in 1903. He lived in Hamilton for 25 years, but spent the last 5 years in Grimsby. Mr. Warford was a painter and decorator by trade.

In the First World War, he served as a drum-major in the 50th Battalion, C.E.F. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Sarah Ann Gray, in 1937.

Surviving are 4 sons, William of Nanaimo, B.C.; Ernest of Vancouver; Frank of Ottawa, and Reginald of Hamilton; one daughter, Mrs. H. Dixon of Hamilton, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at Truscott Brothers' Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery.
