Robert Robertson, resident of Grimsby for the last 30 years and a former superintendent of the local board of works, passed away at his home on Saturday evening.
Born in Scotland, he came to Ontario 63 years ago and was in his 77th year.
Surviving, besides his wife, are four sons and four daughters: William and George, in Grimsby; Gnr. James Robertson and Pte. Robert Roberson, overseas with the Canadian army; Mrs. Charles Mason, Grimsby; Mrs. Percy Vaughan and Mrs. Donald Sinpson, Hamilton, and Mrs. Bruce Wilson, Burlington.
Funeral was held from the Stonehouse Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, Rev. A.E. Brooks officiating.
Casket bearers were his four sons-in-law, Charles Mason, Percy Vaughan, Bruce Wilson, Donald Simpson and Howie Ferris, James M. Wentworth.
