A well known resident of Grimsby for the past 35 years, the death occurred on Thursday morning last, of Albert Leslie Blanchard, after a short illness, at his home on Robinson Street.

Deceased was born in South Grimsby on the farm directly west of the Grimsby Centre school house and came to Grimsby as a young man and had resided here since.

Several years ago he was severely injured in a railway-car accident and had not been in the best of health since, although for the past 18 months he had carried on at light war work in one of the St. Catharines industries.

He was a member of the Oddfellows and the Foresters and the United Church. Surviving are his wife and two
