The death took place Sunday of Dr. Lavern Lawrason, 361 Parkside Drive, Toronto, after an illness of 15 years' duration. He was a prominent Baptist and a deacon of St. John's Road Baptist Church. He was also a strong Liberal. Born in Blenheim township in 1869, he received his early education in Waterdown public School and Dundas high school, later graduating in medicine from the University of Toronto. He took a post-graduate course in John Hopkins University, Baltimore, and subsequently practised his profession at Richmond Hill, Hamilton, Beamsville and later on St. John's Road, West Toronto. He was compelled to give up his practice 10 years ago owing to ill health. He is survived by his widow, formerly Tena Campbell Elmhirst, of Keene, Ontario; three sons, Eric, employed in the income tax department, Hamilton; Homer, of the C.N.R. telegraph office, Toronto; and Ronald, of Swift Canadian Company, Toronto; one daughter, Jean Lawrason, at home; and one brother, J.W. Lawrason, barrister, of Dundas.
