Saturday, November 3, a quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Piper, 115 Rosslyn Avenue North, Hamilton, when their only daughter, Lenore Alway VanDyke, was united in marriage to Mr. Clarence Cumpson, second son of Mrs. Mary and the late Samuel Cumpson of that city. The Rev. R.E. Green, of Wentworth Street Baptist Church, officiated. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Ross B. VanDyke. Her cousin, Miss Frances Woolverton, of Grimsby, played the wedding march.

The bride was wearing her going-away costume of navy gabardine, heavily embroidered, in blackbeaded overblouse of crepe de chine, corsage bouquet of Sweetheart roses, black hat and neckpiece of stone Marten, fur, the gift of the groom. The happy couple left on the 5:45 train for their future home in Pontiac, Mich., amid showers of confetti and good wishes. The bride's flowers were thrown from the platform of the train and caught by Miss Elsie McLean.
