Full Text

One of the best known and highly respected citizens of Clinton township for over half a century went to his long rest on Friday, October 26th, in the person of Rufus Moore.

Stricken with a paralytic stroke about a week and a half ago, he never recovered.

He was in his 73rd year and for a large part of that time took a keen interest in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the township in which he was born.

His amiable disposition and many likeable qualities made him many friends.

He was a member of Ivy Lodge A.F. and A.M. and the lodge turned out in large numbers on Sunday to do honor to one of their oldest members.

One son, Arthur, and two daughters, Mrs. E. Bradshaw and Mrs. Frank Silverthorne, beside his widow survive. Interment took place in Mt. Osborne cemetery.
